Mohsin T. Alhaddad, M.D. - Cardiologist

Mohsin T. Alhaddad M.D. completed his medical school training in Kenya, being subsequently nominated by his nation as an Awardee of the Association of Commonwealth Universities Scholarship where he completed part of his medical training in Ottawa Canada. He then became a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar where he was awarded one out of only 20 scholarships on a world-competitive basis to receive this award and spent one year pursing a Masters in Clinical Pharmacology at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary University of Aberdeen in Scotland.

He subsequently completed his internal medicine training at the Indiana University and Cardiology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky before finally completing his Interventional Cardiology training in at the University of Texas in San Antonio.

He has numerous publications and several presentations of his research done to the American Heart Association Conference.

Among his peers Dr Alhaddad is Board Certified in total of 7 boards, including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Endovascular Medicine and Vascular Medicine. He is also board eligible for Cardiac Computer Tomography and a Registered Physician with Vascular Interpretation (RPVI)

Dr Alhaddad has special interest in congestive heart failure, cardiac ultrasound, stress testing, cholesterol disorders, resistant hypertension, cardiac catheterization with stent placement, structural heart diseases, peripheral vascular diseases and limb salvage procedures.

Dr Alhaddad believes in patient centered care approach which is reflected in the time he takes to educate patients and family members about their health, listen to their concerns and answer questions. In this way it becomes a team approach with a common goal to fight heart and vascular disease and improve health.
